The third quarter of 2025 saw notable trends in the performance of the top social networking applications on iOS in the Middle East. Data from Sensor Tower highlights key metrics for Threads, Telegram Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Facebook, and Google Meet.

Threads experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 86K and peaking at 116K in mid-August. Active users also increased steadily from 4.1M to 4.6M by the end of September.

For Telegram Messenger, weekly revenue fluctuated, starting at $242K, dipping mid-quarter, and closing at $243K. Downloads grew notably, reaching a high of 84K in late August, while active users climbed from 9.9M to over 10.2M.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained stable weekly downloads, beginning at 59K and seeing an increase to 67K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual uptick, moving from 18.6M to 19M.

Facebook saw a slight decline in weekly revenue, starting at $21.8K and ending at $13.9K. Downloads remained relatively steady, peaking at 44K in late September, while active users decreased slightly from 8.8M to 8.6M.

Lastly, Google Meet experienced a steady increase in downloads, from 34K at the start to 43K mid-quarter. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 1.5M to 1.6M by the quarter's end.
